Staff, aliens, and Alg. Ohmy!

Hey folks, Alg here. Arrithan’s eye has been sabotaged by one of the various draconian creatures that breed in the depths of her brain, and since it’s hard to type with an eye patch, I’ve taken over blogging duties this week. Pirate-Ari sends you her regards.

For once, it’s been an extremely productive week. Even though most of the staff suffers from the scholarly woes that plague the month of September, we’ve still made significant progress this week. This is mostly due to a huge staffing call- we’ve the honor of introducing five new staff members! Kayru, Uncle K, LaRiN, Elkayen, and ZyroLasting have joined the Anaglyph team. All of them have undertaken crucial projects, and several have already been completed. ZyroLasting has photoshopped a new rendition of the sinister Marenox- you’ll see this adaption soon enough. Other things have been completed as well; the Angels (a religious race of human cultists) are being honored with a cover-art worthy photoshop adaption.

More interesting, the most important enemy character in the game has been handed to LewaZero: the Angel Leader. The Angel Leader is basically the Darth Vader of the Schism series. He amputated his own arm with his sword after an assassin fired a toxic dart into his wrist- his missing arm has been replaced with cybernetic Angel weaponary, capable of destruction one might expect from a well-armed battleship. LZ has a very detailed rendition of the character, that everyone is happy with. All he has to do now is ink and color it. *nudges LZ*

The Schism soundtrack is virtually completed, at least for the demo. PowersWithin and ConciousAutomaton have done a great job on the music, and we think you’ll agree that Schism’s soundtrack will have more personality and quality than any Anaglyph game to date. Yes, even the games where we stole all of the music from NewGrounds.

…kind of funny that I only blog on the weeks when there’s something to blog about. I think Ari is fated to never give you the impression that Anaglyph is actually doing some work.

Anyway, we have some topics posted around the GameMaker community that deserve some attention if you’re interested in finding out more about Schism. Good day to you!
