History

The Ingids are a species of reserved power, known for their intention to remain uninvolved with Chronos politics of any kind. Though technologically sophisticated, they’re not very focused on military development, preferring to develop their scientific and spiritual industries. Their history is relatively dull, as they rarely suffer from internal conflicts and their desire to remain distant from extraterrestrial relations has been granted thus far. That said, it would be untrue to say Ignids are completely unorthodox when it comes to large-scale combat. The time they spend on more personal endeavors has resulted in many brilliant minds that are quite capable of mobilizing an army should the necessity arise.

Biology

Ignid bodies appear to consist entirely of rock, but this appearance is actually a natural disguise used to ambush unsuspecting prey. The rock-like skin is a durable exoskeleton that protects the more delicate inner organs. They have a rather ape-like gait and might appear to be an animated statue of a mutant silverback gorilla. This unorthodox appearance may contribute to their slight distrust of humans (a feeling which is mutual between the two species). Very little is known about Ignid reproduction habits, survival techniques, and psychological traits. However, Ignids will rarely participate in an interplanetary war unless the proper leverage is used against them, again displaying their relatively friendly and apathetic mindset. How this general Ignid personality developed on the harsh planet of Thermaduro is completely unknown and they remain the most mysterious species in the Chronos system.
