Fresh Meat

Boss-Man Algernon has hired a bunch of new staff to help us work on Schism. They’ve settled in pretty quickly, and have begun the established Anaglyph routine of procrastinating and making excuses while Alg slowly goes insane. It’s awesome working here. Also, huge apologies for not updating last week; I got a pretty bad eye infection and it’s really hard to type and/or read when you only have one eye. Still, I got a sweet eyepatch out of the deal!

The new staff include Uncle K., Elkayen, Kayru, Vegafuse, and LaRiN. (Anyone I’ve forgotten to mention gets a free “kick the crap out of the resident writer” coupon, redeemable once only). Their work will be showing up quite a bit in Schism, or at least in the demo, because they haven’t kicked that annoying habit of being productive yet. Though we’ve already gotten a “I’ll do it by next week” from one of the newbies. Kids these days grow up so fast…

Speaking of Schism, some shiny new content has shown up on the game’s page. PowersWithin, our Music Goddess, has been hard at work composing themes (one of which has shown up on the Schism page) and, for some reason, drawing aliens. Apparently, she can draw, too. I sure didn’t know. Keep tuned to the page for more character bios, screencaps, and concept art that will be slowly appearing.

In other news, the Staff page has actual content on it! Well, not really. Alg will be fiddling with it for a bit. We still don’t get shiny, ego-stroking biographies. Oh, well.

In case you couldn’t tell from the title “Angel Theme Song,” I am pleased to announce that the Big Scary Enemy in Schism will be called the Angels. Think ultra-fancy light-engulfed humanoid people with gigantic cyborg wings, and you’ll be on the right track. So… Now you know why it’s called Schism. Although the idea involving fighting popes was pretty cool and could probably be a game in and of itself.

Walp, that’s it for this week. I’ll leave you folks with another plug for the Anaglyph Store and a nice little poem.
